First idea for – perhaps – a new project The Moonpub Times I want to try. It’s not meant to give all the details of more than 2000 years of history but who knows it is still a nice way to explore history. The data is mostly copied from other sites or scanned – copyright free or linked to when not sure (it’s mostly general information anyway)  – or even directly from Wikipedia now and then so in a way it doesn’t give much new information that you cannot find elsewhere online also. But who knows it is still entertaining and inspiring to click through.

I was already keeping a desktop database for my own use on these 2000 years of history (starting from year 1) but was wondering how to find a navigation for such a project online. Could be the search option is the way – articles are tagged by year and I found a search option that gives you the articles of that year only – or any keyword you want to do the search with. Together with using the categories it gives some sort of organising that perhaps could give a better overview of these 2000 years of history.

See it as jumping from one year to another over 2000 years of history, in categories of history, music, art and culture mainly. Media (Youtube & Spotify mainly) is added when there is something nice to show or listen to also.

Working on it. Site is still an example and a test how to set up a project with this sort of data. But could be I will turn it into something else later. Or keep it my very own Moonpub Times with only history items that got  my interest…
