November 13, 1887: Bloody Sunday took place in London when a march against unemployment and coercion in Ireland, as well as demanding the release of MP William O’Brien, was attacked by the Metropolitan Police and the British Army. A contemporary report noted that four hundred were arrested and seventy-five persons were badly injured.
